Background

Zenius is one of Indonesia’s ed-tech companies that has been around for 18 years. They provide a variety of premium packages and one of the key differences between the premium package and the free package is the live class. Premium users are able to watch the premium free class. Free users can also watch the live class but only the free ones and it is limited.

During the recruitment process, they gave me a design test with the project brief.

The Problem-Solving Process

What is the problem?

This is the first question I asked after I received the challenge. To answer that, I conducted several things as a part of the problem-solving process.

Analyze the Document

Since I only have access to the brief, I analyze the brief document to get better understanding of Live Class.

In the brief, the background and objective are pretty clear although it’s not stated explicitly. The brief highlights the objective of the project by saying “with that in mind”. Based on this brief, it is clear that the goal is to increase the conversion rate from Live Class.

In order to drive users to purchase the premium package, it is necessary to show the difference between the free package and the premium package. Hence, showing the difference between premium & free packages becomes another goal of this project.
